enjoyed by one of 4 large fireplaces or on the sloping lawn. You may
request an ice cream dessert before bed. Canyon Ferry Mansion Bed and
Breakfast is the ideal location to relax and unwind. Located next to
Canyon Ferry Lake, Montana’s premier sportsman’s lake, the Mansion lies
between the Elk Horn and the Big Belt Mountains, adjacent to the Canyon
Ferry at the Missouri River Wildlife Refuge. The refuge lies just north
of the famous Crimson Bluffs on the Trail of Lewis & Clark and is
known for it’s sixty-seven kinds of Bird species, Antelope, Deer and
Moose, Fox, Coyote, Wild Turkey, Sand Hill Cranes and Pelicans.
The refuge, all within walking distance, encompasses a 6.5 Mile Hiking
Trail out on the dikes where the Missouri flows into the Lake. The
Mansion sits on about 6 acres, just 33 minutes from the Capitol of
Montana, Helena, with a panoramic view of Mount Baldy and the Twin
Sister Peaks across the lake. It is one of the only full service B-n-B
near this popular fishing lake for two to thirty miles in any direction.
Once the Palatial Home of famous railroad contractor, entrepreneur and
King of the Hereford Kings, AB. Cook, the mansion was built in 1914 and
completely renovated and restored to its original grace and majesty in
1999. Enjoy the elegance, grace and charm of a turn-of-the-century
luxury mansion, coupled with warm hospitality and a relaxed casual
sports lodge atmosphere, surrounded by the peace and quiet of a country
setting.
